Why is my certificate only valid for 200 days when I purchased multiple years?

The CA/Browser Forum limits publicly trusted TLS/SSL certificates issued on or after 15 March 2026 and before 15 March 2027 to a maximum validity of 200 days. Some CAs issue certificates with a slightly shorter validity; for example, DigiCert uses a 199-day maximum during this period.

Your purchase covers a certificate plan, rather than one certificate valid for the entire plan. You can reissue your certificate multiple times during the life of the plan at no additional cost. Install each replacement before the current certificate expires.
